“Ricky was very cute and sexy, and I keep asking myself why I didn’t work with him more,” says George Duroy. Ricky had a very difficult first episode (with Danny Saradon); he was struggling with a hard-on. “If there were no cameras around, he would have a hard-on. But when we turned on the cameras, it would go down! Even though he didn’t top, it was a very stressful shoot and as we had so many models at the time, I suppose I choose others who were less problematic.” Ricky had other opportunities to prove himself with Bel Ami, and he was successful. As George says, “He is a cover model.” That means he a performer whose face you would want to feature on the cover of a DVD to grab a customer’s [more] attention. George considers Ricky “a missed opportunity” because he had the raw potential to be a star, but he required more attention than George was able to give him at that time in the company’s history.
